Bob Rumba is a Midwest-based professional ventriloquist, comic and Hollywood-look-alike (Groucho, Charlie Chaplin, Barney Fife, Stan Laurel, Peter Sellers) with a host of other talents. In addition to America’s Funniest People and Oprah, he has been seen on the Steve Allen and Carl Reiner Special, The Comedy Channel, Fox’s 30 Seconds of Fame, and the documentary film Dumbstruck. During his remarkable career, Rumba has opened for Leon Redbone, Barbara Mandrell, Neil Sedaka, Manhattan Transfer, Judy Tenuta, Tony Bennett, Tom Jones, Roger Ebert, Larry Linville (M.A.S.H.) and Hanna Barbera. Bob performed nightly as Ed Sullivan on stage with the Liverpool Legends at the Caravelle Theatre in Branson. He is the host of Talk Like a Dummy: The ABC’s of Ventriloquism DVD and writer of Food School the Musical and Puppetrition. One of his big thrills was working in Mister Rogers’ old studio at WQED ch 13 (1st PBS station) with Pittsburgh Puppet Works.
