The Vent Haven 2025 Dummy Run

The Dummy Run 5k Run/Walk will be a timed race this year through GHC Timing!
​
This 5K course is mostly flat and great for runners and walkers.
The course will start and finish at Vent Haven Museum on West Maple Avenue behind the Mercedes Dealership in Fort Mitchell. the Start/Finish Line is sponsored by Central Bank.
For In-person participants, the $35 registration includes t-shirt, race bib, and a chance to check out the new exhibits at Vent Haven Museum!
There will be a Virtual Race option as well. Support Vent Haven Museum from your corner of the world by signing up for a virtual run and completing the 5K at your own time and place. Vent Haven Museum will mail your t-shirt two weeks after the race. Cost is $40 to include shipping.

Age Group Prizes will be offered this year. Medals and $30 to all age group winners. Age groups are as follows: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Prizes will be given to the top male and top female in each of these groups.

Don't delay in registering. The registration price at Packet Pick-up and on Race Day goes up to $40.

Two water stations are provided on the course at Mile 1 and before Mile 2. All participants will pass each water station twice.
Water Station 1 is sponsored by the Fort Mitchell Public House, and Water Station 2 is sponsored by SpeedyWash Coin Laundry.

Course includes one lane of Dixie Highway from West Maple Avenue to Ft. Mitchell Avenue during two legs of the race. Please use caution as southbound traffic will still be using the inside lane.
First Aid will be located on the driveway. Cincinnati Firefighter and ventriloquist Denny Baker will be on hand to entertain and help with ice packs.
Lindsey's Shaved Ice will be offering Snow Cones for participants.

Awards and post-race snacks will be in the back parking lot at 9:30. If weather becomes an issue, awards will be in The Dunham Theater inside the museum.

We accept cash, check, or credit card. Make checks payable to Vent Haven Museum.
We will run out of shirts on Race Day. If you do not receive your shirt on Sunday, it will be delivered to you the following week.
Parking:
Some available parking at Central Bank, Youthland Academy, and Ft. Mitchell Public House
NO on-street parking on West Maple or Ft. Mitchell Ave; carpool if possible.
Restrooms:
The museum has two public restrooms in the lobby and two port-o-lets in the back parking lot.
Spectators: please let anyone who is coming to cheer on your race know that they need to stay on the public sidewalk and out of private driveways.

9:45-11:45 Vent Haven Museum will be open for touring. Participants can visit their dummies!
Lindsey’s Shaved Ice will have Snow Cones available for participants courtesy of Denny & Jill Baker.
Vent Haven Museum merchandise will be available in the Dale & Leslie Brown Lobby before and after the race.
Free Race Photos will be shared after the event. Two official photographers will be on hand to capture the event. Unlike larger events, you don’t have to pay to get pictures of yourself in action.
Ft. Mitchell Public House will be open for brunch at 10:00am Sunday.
